Workshop on Osteoporóticas fracture of humerus and proximal in Santiago de Compostela and Valencia

– seeking to improve the training of doctors in a disease with great population prevalence

Valencia, November 2011- Valecnia and Santiago de Compostela hosting two seminars on Osteoporóticas fracture of humerus and proximal femur, aimed at residents and orthopaedic surgeons interested in the pathology of shoulder and hip osteoporotic.

On 24 November, the University Hospital complex of Santiago de Compostela organizes workshop on Osteoporóticas fracture of humerus and proximal femur, led by the doctors José Ramón Caeiro and José Señarís.

Valencia for its part, organized this day on 25 November in the University Hospital and faith Polytechnic. The course is directed by the Mariano doctors Barrés and José Ferrer and coordinated by Dr. Ismael Escribá.

Both matches take place in an intensive day, and include two modules: 1. Proximal femur and 2. Proximal humerus. The program is completed with the discussion of clinical cases.

Specialists in internal medicine, Traumatology, orthopaedics and rehabilitation, are involved in the different presentations that form the scientific programme. Among them is Dr. Norbert Shun.

These workshops are intended to, improve the training of doctors in a disease that causes 1.6 million hip fractures per year, worldwide.

These meetings are developed in collaboration with the companies Synthes and Lilly.
