Zaragoza, November 2011- laparoscopic surgery in the field of urology is winning every day more followers, as happens in other surgical disciplines. Its advantages, which include the reduction of morbidity compared open surgery and submitting similar therapeutic results, justified their increasing spread and that even in some procedures has become the normal approach path.

People who can benefit of this surgical technique include patients with kidney cancer, prostate cancer, among others. Prostate cancer is cancer most often diagnosed in males. This technique of minimal invasion allows the patient a period of hospitalization very reduced, some minor analgesic requirements, a speedy recovery to life skills and results similar to the conventional open technique.

The Aragonese Institute of Health Sciences (I+CS) held from 14 to 16 November a course run by the DRS. a. Borque Fernando, a. Jalon García Martínez and J.M. Sánchez Zalabardo on the technique of intracorporeal surgical suture in essential Urology treatment via laparoscopic of these tumors.

The I+CS has the collaboration of the Hospital Universitario Miguel Servet, Hospital Clínico Universitario Lozano Blesa and the Hospital of Calatayud, Ernest Lluch, and sponsored by AstraZeneca, the Organisation for this course.
