COCEMFE expands its program of holiday 2009 for people with disabilities.

-the vacation program of COCEMFE benefited this year at more than 2,100 people

-the extension of the IMSERSO 2009 programme includes 16 shifts on vacation and new three new hotels in Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Fuengirola

– the degree of disability of the participants is around 70%, having preference those people who have not ever traveled with fewer resources and greater degree of disability

-the holiday programme aims to provide participants with greater personal autonomy and to caregivers their well-deserved rest

Madrid, December 2009.- the Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) offered in 200934 shifts within its vacation program to ensure that persons with disabilities could enjoy his leisure and free time. COCEMFE now presents the enlargement of the IMSERSO 2009 programme with 16 new shifts between March and may 2010.

Distributed in beaches, resorts, Islands and Easter, 16 shifts of the enlargement of the 2009 program offer the possibility to the participants have greater personal autonomy and to caregivers, most part of the family, its well deserved rest.

On this occasion, we find new three new hotels in Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Fuengirola, situated on the seafront and with all the facilities and accessible accommodation. Also Easter shifts have been expanded with respect to previous editions to enable persons with disabilities to travel during this time as defendant.

To the President of COCEMFE, Mario García, this program it is a bet firm by the integration of persons with disabilities and its normalization in society, since we offer first-class destinations to more difficult people to enjoy their leisure time and fun proof of this is that the degree of disability of the participants exceeds 70% ”.

In 2009, is could benefit from the vacation program of COCEMFE a total of 2108 people between beneficiaries, companions and monitors. In addition attended 24 sons of beneficiaries with what the family could enjoy a few days of entertainment at an affordable price and with suitable accessibility conditions.

The most requested destinations this year have been the Spa Archena (Murcia), where the treatments of the balneotherapy programme they intend to achieve relief of multiple ailments affecting the Group of people with physical disabilities and/or organic and Arnoia (Orense). Another shift that demand more has been has been circuit through Europe with a stop in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.

Shared double room, the accessible hotel in regime of full Board, travel insurance, transport adapted during the entire trip in the shifts of Peninsula, (roundtrip) plane in shifts of Islands and transfer to the hotel in adapted bus and thermalism shift is included in all shiftsmedical consultation and custom thermal treatment. COCEMFE brings more than 20 years developing this program and his work has become increasingly have more acceptance and demand. So in the last six years the number of applications has doubled, from 2.474 received in 2003 to the 5.342 last year 2008. Similarly, the total number of shifts increased, 35 in 2003 to 57 last year.

The Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) is a non-governmental non-profit that was founded in 1980.
