FS was awarded the Sergas integral logistics management service by 88 M€.

A Coruña, 2011-October field service, leading company in Spain in the sector of hospital services, the service of integral logistics management of Servizo Galego of Saúde (Sergas) has been awarded for an amount of EUR 88 million. Service centralize processes for storage, preparation of orders and supply to the point of consumption of medical supplies and health not in all the autonomous community of Galicia.

The central logistics platform to launch in October 2012 and will be in operation during the next 10 years. Its creation will allow the Sergas a saving of EUR 200 million over 10 years, or what is the same, 20 million euros annually.

Mobile service shall make available to the SERGAS exclusive logistics platform, located in the area of influence of Santiago de Compostela, which will manage the storage, preparation of orders and processes of distribution and return of medical devices to different medical centers. The central logistics platform, will feature four regional platforms to optimize the capillary distribution to about 650 medical centers spread around Galicia (hospital complexes, health centres, district hospitals, homes for the elderly …).

A project investor and generator of employment

Mobile Service thus awarded a project pioneer, the first of its kind is implemented at autonomous community level. It is also one contracts for greater economic volume managed by the company, which strengthens its leading position in the sector of hospital services and consolidates its presence in their community of origin.

To address this project, field service proceed an initial investment of 15 3 M€. The company estimated that 156 direct jobs will be created. In addition, 170 indirect jobs will be generated.
