Tecnopole already offers its new service of laboratory of biotechnology for all Spain.

Spain, 2011-October the new biotechnology laboratory service is a facility equipped with the most modern equipment that Tecnopole – Park technology of Galicia-(Ourense) puts at the disposal of companies and institutes in an unprecedented initiative to facilitate access to technology in the development of r & d activities focusing on industry bio under conditions use very advantageous.

The biotechnology lab is a specialized service of support to research activities designed to allow its users to enjoy all the benefits and the freedom that offers an own laboratory, but without having to bear the high costs of acquisition and maintenance of equipment. In addition, maintenance, use rates include cleaning and recurrent costs (light, water, empty, compressed air, electricity, etc.) linked to the use of the facilities.

Its use is open to any company or technology centre or research of Spain. The use of the equipment can be formalized for a period of time ranging from one hour to the number of days, weeks or months if necessary.

Located in the Tecnopole I building, installing, 310 m², is distributed in three working areas: laboratory of physico-chemical tests, laboratory for microbiological testing and space for teaching or administrative tasks.

Some of the equipment with which the laboratory has provided are a binocular microscope, a HPLC, a GC/MS, three types of stoves of incubation, a camera of flow laminar, a motorized microtome, a rotavapor and a desktop with vacuum pump liofilizador

The option of having spaces work and storage of material, the freedom of schedule and advanced system security and access control are some of the added advantages of this scientific-technological installation of last generation.

The initial investment made in the laboratory amounted to 477.000 euros, of which 75% was financed with a loan from the Ministry of science and innovation, granted within the framework of its line of support for r & d projects in science and technology parks.
