More than 90% of babies born in the Hospital Universitario del Sureste receive breast-feeding.

according to a survey carried out among mothers.

Madrid, March of 2013- mothers who give birth at the Hospital Universitario del Sureste breast-feed their babies in the majority of cases (92%), according to a survey conducted by the service of Pediatrics about the information they receive about breastfeeding from health professionals.

Mothers noted in the study, presented at the VII Congress Spanish of breastfeeding held from the 7th to the 9th of March in Madrid, you gave your baby breastfeeding exclusively (77%) or with some supplemental breast milk in a bottle (15%). Only 8% fed off of artificial milk.

As for the early contact with the newborn baby to promote breastfeeding, the survey says that 81% of mothers had her son skin with skin in the first hour after birth and 50% also gave him chest. In 10% of cases the father, made contact early being entered mother.
