Requena, March 2012.- the Hospital of Requena has made a total of 3.338 surgical interventions during 2011, more than 200 operations than in the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, the hospital has treated a total of 26.596 er.

Orthopedic Surgery and orthopaedic service has made a total of 1,092 interventions, of which 574 specified income. In addition, the service has carried out 186 arthroscopes.

On the other hand, the General Surgery service is another of the highlights, with 950 operations, of which 256 have been major outpatient surgery, 201 ambulatory surgery and 667 specified income.

Ophthalmology also has a high rate of surgical activity, adding 469 operations of which only 18 required the use of general anesthesia, while Otolaryngology service has made 104 interventions during 2011.

Other outstanding services have been Gynecology, with a total of 252 interventions and Urology totaling 378.
