On 28 September the College São Leopoldo Mandic – Campinas unit performs the Blood donation campaign 2011 “SLMandic doing their part”.

in partnership with Unicamp blood donation campaign is open to undergraduate, graduate, faculty and staff of the institution and will happen in the courtyard located between the blocks A and B of Campinas unit of 8:30 at 11:0

.

in order to avoid queues, those interested in participating in the campaign must register by September 26 the day by email comunicacao@slmandic.edu.br. On September 27 murals will be disseminated within undergraduate and graduate listing with times for donation of each interested

important: it is compulsory to submit document with photo, preferably RG, and inform full address with ZIP CODE on the day of donation

what it takes to be a blood donor?

  • Have between 18 and 65 years
  • Weigh at least 50 kg
  • not be fasting, just avoid fatty foods
  • be sure

 

do not donate blood if you :

    • : Man Has donated blood for less than 60 days
    • Woman: you have donated less than 90 days
    • Age between 60 and 65 years: you have donated less than 180 days
    • you are pregnant, postpartum period up to three months or breast–feeding

    you shouldn’t smoke up to two hours before and two hours after the donation

     

    cannot donate the person:

      Is

    • with flu, fever or infection
    • For carrier of syphilis, malaria, chagas disease or
    • For an

      • chronic or has ingested alcohol in the last 12:0 am. Should be evaluated by the professional screening

    • Own risky behavior for sexually
    • Is or has been injection drug user
    • Has contracted Hepatitis after the 10-year-old
    • have done endoscopy, tattoo or piercing there are less than 12 months
