El Centro de Investigación Biomédica de Aragón (CIBA) celebrates its open days

Zaragoza, January 2013.- yesterday Thursday 17 began at the Centro de Investigación Biomédica de Aragón (CIBA) InvesCIBA!: a center of research at your fingertips ”. It’s an open day in which CIBA expects to anyone wishing to learn about the work being done in this new building installations.

InvesCIBA! consists of three days. yesterday Thursday, January 17 was received in the morning Aragonese scientists that showed facilities and explained to them how CIBA serves and develops biomedical in Aragon. research also, José Luis Corral, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Zaragoza, gave a historical overview of science in our autonomous community. In the afternoon, he received to companies in the biomedical sector and Manuel Sarasa, Director Científico de Araclón Biotech, spoke about the business venture in biomedicine.

today Friday 18 January, CIBA will receive several schools whose students will learn about the day’s work in a research centre of these characteristics. In addition, be carried out scientific activities that are intended to awaken in them the interest in this field.

During the morning of January 19 Saturday, the building will be open to the public in general. Activities aimed at young audiences, as well as guided tours to all adults interested in the research activity of CIBA will be offered. It is a unique opportunity to see first hand this work center, conceived and designed as a building available to the whole of Aragonese researchers in the field of biomedicine, meeting place for researchers from hospitals, University and health centres, and nucleus of the cross brace to biomedical research in Aragón.
