Madrid, 2011-September the Council General of schools for physiotherapists Spain (CGCFE), on the occasion of the celebration of the day I on intrusion professional in the health field, stresses the need to establish bodies to care and helps those affected by the intrusion in the health sector, as well as policies to safeguard the competences of each profession health.

The seminar, organized by the affected health intrusion (AIMS) Association, under the auspices of the General Council of colleges of physiotherapists and several professional associations, was held last Saturday, September 10, in La Coruña.

According to the Council, the intrusion in the health sector is one of the major scourges that jeopardize the health of citizens ” and recalls that both the General Council and schools that integrate spend much of their efforts to eradicate, due to a sometimes absent response by the health administration at the national levelregional and local ”.

On the occasion of this day, the Council has expressed the need to establish bodies to care and helps affected, with participation of professional bodies, as an institution most directly involved in the fight against the intrusion, and as one of the obligations and goals reflected in the statutes of the collegiate corporations.

Similarly, the General Council of physiotherapists schools of Spain demand that the involved administrations put in place policies to safeguard competences of each health profession, especially under the management of the health professions Act, with a double objective: ensure care of physiotherapy to the citizen and facilitate professional development for physiotherapists, for the benefit of society.

CGCFE

The General Council of physiotherapists schools of Spain (CGCFE) is the body that represents more than 40,000 physiotherapists, in Spain, dealing with the common goal of promoting the health of citizens. In addition, orders the profession, guardianship the interests of physiotherapy, as well as its optimal implementation and universalization.

Physiotherapists are health professionals, as foreseen in existing legislation, accredited with the University degree in physical therapy, taught at 43 universities and holders of knowledge and skills designed to benefit the health of the population.
