Spain, 2011-August the Gregorio Maranon hospital counts with the possibility of offering comprehensive psychiatric care from zero to 100 years covering all stages of life, as well as specialized care in multiple areas of reference in Psychiatry, because it has a wide and varied hospitals service portfolios Spaniards.

For psychiatric pathologies in adult patients, there are three medical services which provides outpatient care in regime of complete internment, and partial hospitalization in hospital day.

It also has a unit of Psychiatry of link which provides psychiatric and psychological care to patients admitted to other packaging services of the hospital, reaching 2,700 annual consultation, and has specific programmes for groups of patients who need care in other areas such as cardiac rehabilitation, transplants or morbid obesity, to name a few.

Adults can also be seen in day hospital and outpatient with treatments especific like treatment programmes for patients with affective disorder – bipolar disorders, recurrent depression, etc.-, or the program of treatment patients with borderline personality (Paipal) or the consultation of alcoholism among others.

Gregorio Marañón established in the year 2000 the first specific unit of psychiatric care for adolescents in the community of Madrid, designed for patients aged between 12 and 17 years old with grave mental pathology. In 2009 he began to operate the programme of care for disorders of autism spectrum AMI-TEA; and it has also incorporated attention to adolescent girls mediated and pregnant women, as well as the unit of mental health of children in psychological risk.
