El Hospital de Fuenlabrada awarded as best service of internal medicine.

Awards Best in Class 2009.


Bilbao, November 2009-
El Hospital Universitario de Fuenlabrada has won the award for best service of internal medicine and the Honorable mention to the prize best Pediatrics in the fourth edition of the Awards Best in Class. The awards ceremony was carried out last Tuesday, November 24, at the gala offered in the Palacio de Congresos and the music Euskalduna Jauregia Bilbao.

The award for the award for best specialty in internal medicine patient care was picked up by the Chief of service of internal medicine of the University Hospital of Fuenlabrada, Dr. Antonio Zapatero Gaviria and the managing director of the Carlos Sangregorio, being finalists in the same category: Hospital Universitario Severo OchoaHospital Fundación de Alcorcón, both belonging to the community of Madrid, the Son Dureta Hospital of Balearic and USP clinical sacred heart of Seville.

Also has been awarded the service of Pediatrics having won the Honorable mention to award best Pediatrics. In the opinion of the Manager of the health centre, “the obtained awards are the result of the continued effort of two specialties that have achieved in just five years an important level of development as so show it the successive awards and recognitions achieved, including those obtained in previous editions of the Best Awards in Class”.

The BIC awards are an initiative of medical Gazette in collaboration with the Chair of innovation and health management of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and have as objective the recognition of those hospitals public and private who aspire to excellence on the basis of their management on the improvement of the quality of care.

The University Hospital of Fuenlabrada with a track record of just five years of operation, is a veteran in the pageant Awards Best in Class. Since its opening in 2004, it has considered the improvement of the quality of care as one of its priorities, placing it in the central axis of all their actions.
