El Mobayed Institute of Ophthalmology grows with new subspecialties for diseases of the retina and Pediatric Ophthalmology.

Benidorm, March of 2013.- El Institute Mobayed Ophthalmology of the Hospital clínica Benidorm (IMOF), with Dr. Jorge Mobayed to head, celebrates its tenth anniversary and celebrates it extending its services with two new subspecialties: the unit of Pediatric Ophthalmology, in constant collaboration with the new Pediatrics specialized unit, and the Retina unit.

Dr. Mobayed has highlighted that Clinical Hospital in Benidorm are aware of the necessity of working medicine personalized quality care and constant technological renewal. For this reason, we offer a new super service specializing in retina, oriented to the study, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of retina exclusively; and, on the other hand, we want to respond to the needs of children, seeing them with the degree of specialty that deserve your eyes ”.

The IMOF is an eye care service which, in its vocation of personalized medicine, has grown up around different specialties: unit Anterior pole and cataract surgery; the unit of Oculoplastics and tumors of the eye globe; and the unit of Glaucoma (ocular pressure). To provide the specialized service that the project requires the Institute has never stopped investing in cutting-edge technology, as well as partnering with the best medical and technological partners.

in this case IMOF-HCB joined his team Dr. Rafael Freiria, pediatric ophthalmologist, specialist in the detection of eye diseases in children up to 14 years. In addition, service will be integrated into the new unit of Pediatrics specializing of HCB, so families are an integrated service giving effective responses to the need for children, from quick and easy also for parents.

In this sense Dr. Mobayed has commented that children specialized treatment is increasingly more demanded since 15-20% of eye diseases in children are detected during school reviews ”.
Diseases of the Retina unit will be headed by Dr. Mobayed and Dr. Gabriel Scalerandi, doctor endorsed by his great career which has led him to participate in numerous studies and research into eye diseases.
