Spain, February 2012. A commitment to the development, study and implementation of measures that contribute to the improvement of the security in primary care centres and to the physical and psychological security of general practitioners and family: this is one of the central aspects of the agreement of cooperation signed last week in Madrid Benjamin Abarca and Pedro Gómez, Presidents of the Spanish society of General physicians and family (SEMG) and the National Association for the Integral security in hospital centres (ANSICH).

Both entities, which had worked already closely in the elaboration of the Manual of prevention before the aggression to the health personnel submitted last year, take a step beyond and agree, among other things, the creation of a permanent forum for collaboration and debate between professionals of public health securitythose responsible for health centres and the professionals of health. In addition, this agreement also emphasis on the need for training in this area is done to physicians.
