Manifesto in defense of the medical colleges. General Assembly. Spain, January 2013.- the General Assembly of the General Council of medical colleges, Spain, at its meeting last Monday, has decided to make public this manifesto in defense of the colleges of physicians and their democratically elected representatives to constant pressures from the political powers to defend the ethical duty above any other convenience that every physician has with the patient and the care of their health before any other convenience. In this sense, and by unanimous consent this manifest General Assembly: 1.-the Spanish Medical Association (WTO) wants to make it clear that doctors are not the culprits in the deterioration of the health system and wants to denounce the inappropriate treatment, which, in many cases, come to receive some public administrations. 2. The WTO again reiterates that the management of the national system of health (SNS) and the different autonomies is not adequate and that it is essential to tackle your change to get the improvement and maintenance of the quality system. It considers that this management must have their foundations in professional and scientific criteria and not solely political or economic. 3.
