Spain, March 2012.- during the last 4 years the Hospital ClÃnico San Carlos has reduced its emissions of GHG in 1.613 tonnes of CO2, and over the past year has reduced them 6%, following the Kyoto Protocol emission reduction policy, as is reflected in the corresponding audits. On the other hand, this Hospital has been revalidated the certification of the environmental management system in accordance with the UN EN ISO 14001 standard and the regulation EMAS (Community environmental audit and management system), where is registered since 2003, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the environment through environmental improvements in recent years with the involvement of their workers. Also produced annually, its environmental statement that channelled through the Ministry of environment and the Ministry of environment, in order to make it reach the European Union. That statement is validated by AENOR prior to its publication and in it the Hospital reports on its environmental performance.
