ZARAGOZA, 15 (EUROPA PRESS) The Government of Aragon, through the Department of health, Social Welfare and family, has created a working group together with the College of physicians and the College of nursing to begin development of the law of rights and guarantees of the dignity of the individual in the process of death. The Counselor of health, Social Welfare and family of Aragon, Ricardo Oliván, has explained that, “once established the law we need, as administration, develop it and apply it in collaboration with stakeholders”. The Department of health has explained in a press release that among the “key” content that is going to work is the “ideal of dignified death” in the right of patients to receive care palliative integrals of high quality. “This concept is directed to respect the autonomy of the patient and to humanize the process of dying,” have pointed out the sources. Also, the Working Group has as one of its objectives the development of a protocol to facilitate those in terminal situation wishing freely “the possibility of entering the death without suffering, in peace, as an expression of respect for the dignity of the human being”.
