Forum Dental 2013 moved to the premises of Gran Via Fira de Barcelona.

-Forum Dental, FDM, leaves Montjuïc and moved to Palace 1 of the enclosure of Gran Via of Fira de Barcelona, which will celebrate its 8th Edition – the first organized by the trade fair institution – from 11 to 13 April 2013. Fira de Barcelona wants to contribute to boost commercial activity and to generate business, as well as positioning the pageant as the benchmark in the sector. Also, will enhance the exchange of knowledge with more scientific congresses, conferences and new activities

Barcelona, may 2012.- responsible for the Dental Forum presented last April the strategic lines of its next edition, agreed with the major players in the industry and the dental sectorboth supply and demand. This presentation was attended by more than 40 heads of companies from the sectors represented in the Hall, summoned to make them participate in the design of the new format of the contest and adapt it to their interests. With this initiative we want to be next to the sector and to respond to their needs and concerns ”, explained Albert Planas, director of the commercial area of Fira de Barcelona.

The main novelties of the next edition of the Forum, among their transfer from Montjuïc Pavilion 1 of the enclosure of Gran Via-Fira de Barcelona. Designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito, the new enclosure responds effectively to the current requirements of the companies: is equipped with the most advanced technology trade fair, exhibition spaces are very functional and have a clear distribution that facilitates Assembly, disassembly and logisticsas well as conference rooms and a wide gastronomic offer.

For Planas, the image of the Chamber must correspond to the sector, which stands out for its great capacity for innovation and commitment to quality. “In this sense, the new headquarters is without doubt the most appropriate”. According to Roger Mitjana, director of the Hall, the new enclosure also makes it possible to integrate one of the Conference rooms within the exhibition area of the Palace 1 and thus improve the flow of visitors, a request which have moved us many exhibitors ”.

The enclosure of Gran Via is also very well communicated, just 10 minutes from the airport of Barcelona, 10 of Barcelona by public transport (FGC), only 3 km from the Plaza Spain enclosure and with 4 parking for more than 4,500 seats. There is also a great selection of hotels with 25,996 rooms within a radius of a few kilometres.

More commercial activity and business

Another of the strategic lines of the contest is the bid to boost commercial activity and generate business. To Fira de Barcelona as an organizer, the Forum can benefit, for example, from its network of delegations abroad, represented in 33 countries, for intense task of promotion and recruitment of exhibitors, visitors and members of Congress. According to flat, in a globalized economy, one of our priorities is to be world reference acting locally. In this line, we want to convert the Forum in a hub ” or centre of interconnection of business and knowledge of the sector between Spain and new markets ”.

For Dr. José Luis Navarro, President of the Professional Association of dentists and stomatologists of Catalonia (COEC) with the international Dental Forum, is the time that the Scientific Congress, in addition to consolidating the peninsula, pot borders, and for this we need the structure and professionalism of an institution such as Fira de Barcelona ”. This year, moreover, held the 1st European Dental Forum ”, which mark the patterns of growth in the sector.

This line also expresses Mitjana, who indicates that do our utmost to promote learning and interaction between national and international professionals, using tools as the Business Match ”, which facilitates the creation of contacts and meetings. Other developments include the establishment of the Innovation Area ” and Speakers ’ Corner ”, where exhibitors can give your products and what’s new in 30-minute sessions.

As in other rooms, Fira de Barcelona will be a Steering Committee composed of representatives of all subsectors of the dental field to advise and guide the direction of the Hall and participate in the design of its strategic plan. Also, from this Committee, it will create a Committee whose functions shall be to develop and identify the best scientific program for the Congress, which will be structured around several themes such as diagnostic 3D, magnification in dentistry and CAD/CAM systems, among others.
