El CECOVA began the second edition of the cycle of conferences on ethics of nursing.

the Conference will take place in the Auditorium of the official College of nursing of Valencia on 16 and 30 November from 19.

Valencia, November 2011- In Valencia, the Valencia Council of nursing (CECOVA) began the second edition of the cycle of conferences on ethics of nursing, organized jointly with the Valencian School of studies in health (EVES) and the General Directorate of evaluation, quality and attention to the patient of the Ministry of health.

the first Conference, which took place at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Valencia official College of nursing (street pole and Peyrolón, number 57, low), was entrusted to Professor of philosophy of the law of the University of Navarra Angela Aparisi Miralles under the title bioethics and gender mainstreaming.

The next Conference, entitled the rights of patients and nurses, ran in charge of Javier Sánchez Caro, responsible for the area of bioethics and health law, Ministry of health, community of Madrid, and took place on Monday 14th to 19 hours.

For his part, Professor of nursing from the University of Barcelona Montserrat Busquets Surribas will deliver the following lecture entitled ethics and nursing in Psychiatry, which will take place on Wednesday 16th.

Finally, the fourth and final Conference of this second cycle will take place on Wednesday 30th day and shall be borne by the Professor of psychology of the University of Valencia (UV) Pilar Barreto titled interbranch relations in the health sector.

The cycle of conferences is codigirido by the Professor of philosophy of law of the UV and director of the master in nursing ethics of the CECOVA and the UV, Vicente Bellver; and the President of the CECOVA, José Antonio Avila, and as Secretary serves as the Chairman of the Committee of bioethics healthcare of the Department of health Clínico-Malvarrosa, Luis Llorens.

Second Edition of the master’s in nursing ethics

On the other hand, the CECOVA and Universitat de València (UV) are now open for pre-registration of the second edition of the master’s in nursing ethics, both institutions organized in collaboration with the General direction of evaluation, quality and attention to the patient of the Ministry of health and the Valencian School of health studies (EVES).

Nurses interested in completing this training programme can register before December 15 through the website of the company-ADEIT University Foundation in the area of health in the section on programs of postgraduate with code 11711480.

This second edition of the master’s in nursing ethics of 60 ECTS credits, will be held between the months of January and November, 2012 in schedule of 16: 30 to 20: 30 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays in the classrooms of the Valencia official College of nursing.

The objective of this programme is to provide nurses capabilities and tools that enable them to manage the problems of ethical nurse in all areas that can be raised: primary and specialized care, public health, hospitals, educational institutions, etc.

With this master II in nursing ethics, two editions of the cycles of nursing ethics and the adoption of the code of ethics of nursing conferences, Valencia is at the forefront of this field because that is the first Spanish autonomy that has own rules on the éTICA and the ethics of the collective nurse and providing a specific postgraduate training in ethical nurse, which, until now, did not exist in Spain.
