Madrid, March 2012.- Community allocates 3.2 million euros to finance 50 residential beds for the treatment of drug addicts within the activities of the anti-drug agency of the Ministry of health over the next five years, according to announced the Vice-President, Councillor for culture and sport, and spokesman for the regional government, Ignacio Gonzalez.

These places, located in a residential centre in the capital, are aimed at patients drug addicts in intensive outpatient treatment of addiction.

Patients resident drug addicts in this resource will come daily to the Centre of attention Integral dependent (CAID) to receive health care: three hours a week of treatment in Group of prevention of relapse, three hours of psychotherapy and/or social skills group, three of care and health education, and one weekly hour of individual appointments.

Also will have benefits aimed at the social rehabilitation: five hours per week of classroom education and guidance for employment and other five hours of healthy entertainment.

Also recently, the Governing Council agreed to allocate six million euros to finance the residential centre for treatment of drug addicts of the Agency drugs of the community of Madrid.

This Centre, which replaces the therapeutic community El Batan ”, boasts 40 income, including places for children, with circuit and space independent, and other 20 seats in regime of day centre, so can receive treatment simultaneously 60 patients.

The device provides intensive detox and addiction treatment to patients who cannot be treated from the outpatient and require a residential system, as well as a day centre to complete their therapeutic process.
