TV monsters arrive at the Hospital to teach hospitalized children to eat healthy.

Spain, March of 2013.- the Hospital of Torrevieja and the vinalopo Valley are two of the more than 100 Spanish hospitals with which it collaborates the Fundación Antena 3. Thus, children hospitalized in the plants of both centers will learn with the famous Muppets which are more beneficial to the heart food, how our bodies work and habits to keep fit.

The hospitals of the Vinalopó and Torrevieja have single rooms and television with access to a multitude of channels, including, FAN3, through which characters such as Epi and Blas or the monster of cookies will be responsible for encouraging younger patients to learn new healthy and fun ways to take care of our bodies and our minds.

Both centers, in its purpose of promoting healthy habits among children, in collaboration with the Fundación Antena 3, wanted to incorporate this content into the program of its channel, especially designed for children in hospital.

The series consists of 26 original episodes of 7 minutes in length aimed at an audience aged 3 to 6 and in addition to the famous Muppets, presents a new signing, Dr. Ruster, inspired by Dr. Valentín Fuster, internationally renowned cardiologist and founder of the Foundation SHE.

While instructs the residents of Sesame Street on his body and his heart, Dr. Ruster also encourages young people to care his fun way through easily adaptable life habits in order to reduce cardiovascular risks in adulthood.

In different sections, shall inform the monster of cookies on healthy foods that they can eat always ” and the less nutritious that can only be sometimes eat ” and should enjoy in moderation. Thus, Dr. Ruster and all his furry friends help children to discover healthy food, like fruits and vegetables in season, exercises, daily activities such as jogging and dancing, and other ways to keep the heart at a healthy pace. In the same way, healthier monsters on TV will help also to children to advance its development sociomocional teaching them to manage their emotions and their social responsibility.

A special for hospitalized children television channel

FAN3 channel is the first television channel especially designed for children in hospital. Since its inception in 2005, it combines entertainment content – series, drawings animated…-educational pieces, created ad hoc, that promote as in this case, healthy habits and help children to understand and familiarize yourself with the process whereby they are going, in a friendly and fun way. Some of the content of the channel FAN3 inform the child about the functioning of the various machines and testing the hospital, as well as the work of professionals who help you in your recovery.
