The measure benefits about 650 thousand Indians who depend on the health care in 4,774 villages in the country. The organisations concerned shall demonstrate technical and administrative capacity to perform the actions. The edict was published today in the Official Gazette (DOU) and can be accessed in full in the electronic address

the measure provides for the selection of entities for the development of actions complementary to health of indigenous peoples. Are provided for measures for assisting in oral health, health surveillance, encouraging traditional indigenous practices and medicines, prevention of illnesses arising from the consumption of alcohol and other drugs, support for the operation of Health Houses of the Indian (A/C).

the edict also contemplates the development of strategies for the promotion of rational use of medicines, actions of monitoring the quality of water supply system, preparation of projects and monitoring of works and services of buildings and environmental sanitation, support for the strengthening of social control in indigenous health and support to the process of continuing education for workers of the subsystem of Indigenous health care (SASISUS).

the Health Ministry is discussing with the Ministry of planning, budget and Administration (MPOG) a definitive solution to the issue of management of the work of professionals who work in indigenous health. “The Sesai ends in up to 90 days, a survey throughout Brazil to present to the MPOG a proposal, which takes into account the realities of work in each of the 34 Special Indigenous Sanitary Districts (DSEI),” announces the Secretary. The indigenous health workforce arrives today about 15 thousand professionals, divided between effective servers, workers hired through agreements with NGOs and workers hired by prefectures in partnership with Ms.

the private entity, non-profit, who wants to participate in the selection process should indicate the DSEI DSEIs or that has an interest in performing additional actions in health care to indigenous peoples. The DSEI is the unit responsible for the management of services and actions of indigenous primary health care and is linked directly to Sesai.

those interested in participating in the process and conclude the agreement shall be held in the accreditation management system of covenants and Grant contracts (SICONV), as the standards body. Accreditation will be carried out directly in SICONV, in the electronic address www.convenios.gov.br/portal, with a period of 15 days from publication of the notice, to submit documentation and proof of technical and operational capacity. The analysis of the documentation will be made by a Committee made up of representatives of SESAI, of DSEI and District Councils of indigenous health (CONDISI).
