Granada, February 2012.- Aspaym Granada taught a course on ‘ skin care ’ in people with spinal cord injuries, which will address aspects related to pressure ulcers.

The course, which will take place by videoconference, is part of the programme virtual classrooms ”, coordinated by the National Federation of ASPAYM and funded by the Foundation Vodafone Spain.

During the training, by experts of the national group for the study and advice on ulcers by pressure and chronic wounds (GNEAUPP), will discuss the care, prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.

Virtual classrooms ”

The training modules that are taught within the programme virtual classroom ” are grouped into three main thematic: labour, Social and health. They develop until the end of this month, and will be given simultaneously through the participating entities videoconferencing system: Aspaym Castilla and León, Aspaym Granada, Aspaym Madrid, Aspaym Murcia and Aspaym Toledo.

This system open, active and participatory, will make it possible to encourage debate and reflection of participants in a bidirectional way and in real time, while the trainer expert from each subject, present at the headquarters of one of the participating associations.

Ultimately, this programme aims to provide distance training, professionalized and based on common demand and manifest needs of persons with disabilities.

The program virtual classrooms ”, goes to people with spinal cord injury and severe physical disability, relatives and/or close relatives that they want and need:

-information about the possibilities and means available to improve their situation and integration social.

-advise on measures of prevention and care necessary for the improvement of their status health.

-training in labour matters, to obtain a job in quality.

National Federation ASPAYM (Association of injured spinal cord and great physical disabled), is a declared public utility, consisting of 18 associations and 2 foundations located throughout the national territory, while in 13 autonomous regions, representing more than 12,000 people with spinal cord injuries.
